2.1 Agreement
By creating an account, or by accessing or using the WeLookup website and application at thechartered.in (the "Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. When you create an account, you confirm this by ticking a box. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2.2 What WeLookup is and permitted use
WeLookup is a study-planning, revision-tracking, batch-finding and career-information platform for Chartered Accountancy students preparing for examinations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Platform for your own examination preparation and career planning. All other uses are reserved. WeLookup is not part of, endorsed by, or affiliated with ICAI. See the Disclaimer.
2.3 Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You must give accurate information and keep your login details safe. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You may not share, sell or transfer your account.
2.4 Your account
You may have one account. Tell us at support.team@thechartered.in immediately if you think someone else has used your credentials. You can delete your account at any time from Profile & Settings.
2.5 Prohibited use, scraping and automated access
You may use WeLookup for your own personal study and career planning. You must not, and must not permit any person or automated tool to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
- use any robot, spider, scraper, headless browser, script or other automated means to access, copy or extract the Platform, its API endpoints, or its content or data in bulk, in whole or in part. This does not apply to search-engine and AI-assistant crawlers that follow our robots.txt file;
- bulk-download, harvest, mirror, republish, redistribute, frame, or create a derivative database from our compilation of syllabus data, reviews, batch or seat information, or other content;
- circumvent, disable or interfere with any access control, rate limit, bot-protection, authentication or security feature of the Platform;
- access the Platform using another person's credentials or sessions obtained without authorisation;
- reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code, except where the law does not allow this restriction;
- use the Platform to build, train or improve a competing product, service or dataset;
- post false, misleading, abusive, defamatory or confidential content;
- submit fake, paid-for or incentivised reviews, or review a firm or faculty you have no real experience of;
- upload viruses, malicious scripts, or overload the service; or
- claim to be someone else, or claim to be affiliated with ICAI or WeLookup.
Unauthorised copying, bulk extraction or reverse engineering may attract civil and criminal liability under applicable law.
2.6 User content and reviews
You own the content you submit (such as reviews of firms or faculty). You are responsible for it and confirm that it is your honest, genuine personal experience. By posting a review, you give us a non-exclusive, free, royalty-free licence to host and display it to signed-in students on WeLookup and to use it in combined figures (for example average ratings). The licence ends when the review is removed, except for combined figures that no longer identify you. If you delete your account, your reviews stay on WeLookup without any link to you. You can edit the ratings and figures of your review from the Reviews page. To remove a single review, email us at support.team@thechartered.in. Reviews are individual opinions of students. They are not verified by us and are not statements of fact by WeLookup. Our Review and Community Guidelines apply. We may remove or edit content that breaks these rules or the law.
2.7 Student Registration Number (SRN)
If you enter your SRN, it is self-declared. We do not verify it with ICAI, and the "SRN added" badge on your profile only shows that you have entered a number.
2.8 Study tools are estimates
Pace figures, revision plans, hour estimates and catch-up suggestions are calculated from the information you enter and from our own estimates. They are guides, not guarantees of exam results. Your pace depends on the exam group and target chapters you choose. Streak freezes protect your streak count only; they have no cash value and we may change how they work. Always follow ICAI's official notices and your own judgement.
2.9 Third-party and ICAI information
Syllabus structure, exam dates, Revision Test Papers (RTPs), Mock Test Papers (MTPs), notices and batch availability come from public materials published by ICAI and remain the property of ICAI. They are shown for educational reference. Dates and information can change or be delayed, so always check the official ICAI website before acting on them. Links to third-party websites (including ICAI's portals) are for convenience, and we are not responsible for their content.
2.10 Intellectual property
The WeLookup name, logo, design, user interface, layout, graphics, original explanations, tools, our own compilation and arrangement of information, and software code are the intellectual property of Harshit Jain, trading as WeLookup by The Chartered, and are protected under applicable law. We do not claim ownership of ICAI's underlying material. ICAI names and materials belong to ICAI. You may not use them in ways that suggest affiliation or endorsement. See our Copyright & IP Policy.
2.11 Availability and changes
We try to keep WeLookup running, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, suspend or stop features at our discretion.
2.12 No warranty
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we do not give any warranty about accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.
2.13 Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of exam results, opportunities or data arising from your use of WeLookup. Our total liability for any claim is limited to ₹1,000 or the amount paid by you in the preceding 3 months, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
2.14 Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms or the law, including any access we reasonably believe to be automated, fraudulent or abusive, without prior notice. You may stop using WeLookup and delete your account at any time.
2.15 Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Sikar have exclusive jurisdiction.
2.16 Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change matters, we will tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use WeLookup after updates take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
2.17 Contact and grievances
Harshit Jain, Grievance Officer, WeLookup by The Chartered, Sikar 332001, Rajasthan, India, support.team@thechartered.in. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days or the timelines prescribed under applicable law.
